Getting There - Stockholm & Helsinki

These photos show only a glimpse of the baroque interior of Storkyrkan  (the "Great Church"). The 15th-century wooden sculpture seen below, "St. George and the Dragon," is probably the best known of its many artifacts and works of art. Storkyrkan is next to the Royal Palace, near the center of Gamla stan, and it remains a popular tourist attraction. It is also an active parish church and serves as the seat of the Lutheran Diocese of Stockholm.
